Children and Young People

We are proud of our childrens activities including after school clubs, holiday activities and parties.

The Homework Club

If you’re aged between 7 and 12 come and join us on Monday or Wednesday between 3.30-5.30pm for a fun way to learn at the Centre. The Homework Club is an after school club for children living on or around Bemerton Heath.

You can get the chance to paint, draw, or make things in the arts and crafts room or upstairs you can use the computers to play games, surf the internet, or if you really have to, do some homework.

The Club

If you’re a bit older, aged 13-16, then The Club is for you, an after school club held every Thursday 3.30-5.30pm. You can create and have fun with arts and crafts, learn how to sew or knit, make jewellery, try your hand at making a working, moving car or robot or just make a mess.

If you want to get your homework done before you get home, then you can use our computers, or maybe you’d just rather surf the internet. Whatever you want to do, it’s up to you, as it’s your club.

All after school activities clubs run from 3.30pm to 5.30pm during normal term time.

School Holiday Activities

Join us most school holidays for one of our exciting holiday activities held in the Centre. We do lots of arts and crafts and enjoy a nice picnic lunch, or if we’re lucky we might even have pizza.

Children painting

We are outside in the sun during the summer holidays where the NCH Playrangers join us to play sports, but not everyone is sporty so we bring along paints, pens, pencils and paper for you to enjoy.

Recently the Neighbourhood Centre has been working with the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust to deliver ‘Fun in the Folly’ activities with an outside theme based in the Folly, a local wood.

All subjects and activities are delivered by qualified and Criminal Record Bureau cleared tutors, and the Homework Club is funded by the Wiltshire Children and Young People’s Services. Child participation is openly encouraged and they take a full part in running the club including writing the clubs rules and choosing the topics, which are based on the national curriculum.

Spaces for all the activities that we organise are unfortunately limited, however, if you are interested in your child attending any of our activities or would simply like more information, please contact us on 01722 349271.
